Egg Carton Crafts For Kids
How to Make an Envelope Pillowcase This envelope pillowcase is one of the easiest ways to make a pillowcase because you … I love making projects with things around the house. Egg cartons are often packaged and shredded for recycling, so I thought this would be a great way to turn them into something beautiful!
The kids and I did this project together in one day and it’s so cute! They did all the painting and then I did the building part after they went to sleep. You should have heard their squeals of joy the next morning when they saw you in the corner of their office. They were so happy that their handiwork turned into fun and happy art!
This is a transcript of the videos I recorded and shared the day the wall was created.
First, take all the cups in the egg carton and stack about 40 cups. You can try to cut them, in which case you can cut each side of the cup into rounded lobes. I tried it, but decided I was fine with the rustic look that came out a long time ago. If you’re doing this like me, don’t worry if some egg cups pull out less than others, it all looks great in the end.

Now it’s time for the kids to fill the egg cups. I set up two sets of paints for the kids so I could control the color palette. I want children to be creative while keeping their skin beautiful. So I made my station with yellow paint and the kids got orange too. Then I did a second station in pink and the kids ended up with a beautiful lilac color (perfect!). Do whatever you like and use your favorite colors!
Be sure to add plenty of water to the paint so the kids can easily cover each paper cup.
Tip: If you want the color to stand out more than the blended brown effect, remove the color and apply a new one before that. Also change the water if necessary.
Place your egg cups in 5 rows as well – mine is 7 cups each, but just work with what you have. I also took this opportunity to organize them into color effects from yellow to orange to pink to purple.

Now take the first row of egg cups, tie them together and you are ready to hang them on your towel. To do this, cut a wire 60 cm long. Tie a neat knot at the bottom. Then use the needle to press the first cup (facing down) to the thread.
Tie another knot about 5 cm from the egg cup. Now place the yarn in another egg cup. Continue until the row is complete.
Set the string aside, wrap all the egg cups, and repeat until you’re ready to go.
Place the bowl and fasten each row of egg cups to the fixture. I just turn them over, knot them, and then place them next to the square. Try to get them at the end too. But once it’s all ready, you can change it again where you want to achieve the desired length.

The last part is to add some rope as a hanger. Cut another string and overlap. Attach it to both sides of the bolt. Now it’s ready to hang!

When the idea of turning egg crates into a beautiful flower wall was born to me, I doubted whether it would succeed. I even told my friend Cindy about it, I’m sure I have a backup plan if it doesn’t work out! I honestly see this as a colossal failure of the craft. But I’m happy to report that this is a huge crafting achievement in my book!
Egg Carton Crafts And Art Projects For Kids
It’s easy to turn egg cartons into flowers, but it took 1.5 hours to cut out 35 of them. But my 1.5 hours a week is my meal time! I use Kroger’s new ClickList when I grocery shop and it saves me so much time. I just go online, select all my groceries, milk, produce, etc. and then schedule a time to pick them up.
I got there, called the number on the board, and within minutes, two wonderful Kroger employees brought out my groceries. They locked my car and tried to put my eggs and bread where they wouldn’t break. I have had the best customer service ever! When I was pregnant with 2 kids, I was shopping every 5 minutes. This happens!! I’m a big fan of ClickList and plan to use it regularly. It was too easy and simple! ClickList stores your favorites and previous purchases, making it quick and easy to order online.
Well, what do I do with the empty egg cartons from Kroger? I had the cutest wall hanging! This is how I did it.
2. Fill the egg box with flowers. I used 3 different shades of purple spray paint. But you can use craft paint. I painted both sides of the flower, but I focused on the bottom because the wall hanging is the most visible.

3. Poke a hole in the bottom of each flower with the pointed end of a pair of scissors. Be careful not to cut your fingers! Gloves or a hard surface should be used for this step.
5. Then tie a knot to keep the flower hanging. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you have 5 flowers on your wire. Then repeat until you have 7 strands
