Dollar Tree Diy Home Decor 2021 – There’s nothing better than DIY dollar tree crafts to create your own home decor. Creating your own allows you to customize the color, wording, layout, and there’s nothing more satisfying than creating something for the home you love.
Now raise your hand if you think that beautiful farmhouse decor is expensive. – I raised my hand again (lol)!
Dollar Tree Diy Home Decor 2021
As much as I love this farmhouse look in my house, I’m not ready to spend a ton of money on wall art and small decor. So after spending some time researching farmhouse decor ideas, I came up with a project that is easy to make and uses items from the dollar store.
High End Dollar Tree Fall Diys
If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you know I love dollar store crafts. I love walking down the aisles and finding things like wooden beads, metal tags, and even little bottles of Mod Podge for what you would pay at a craft store. Plus, the best part is that shopping at the dollar store is a great way to stock up on my craft supplies without breaking the bank.
A few items that caught my eye on a recent trip were picture frames from the Dollar Store. Most of their picture frames are black and give them a modern look. However, with a few coats of paint, you can transform this modern frame into farmhouse decor.

Dollar Tree Spring Decor Diy Ideas
For today’s DIY farmhouse decor, I’m using products from my local Dollar Tree. However, you can also find these items at your local Dollar Store.
1. Open Model Magic and create three eggs that fit into the nest. Allow to dry for 24 hours.
Advice: If you’re looking for an easy way to store your Model Magic, we recommend keeping an extra one in a plastic bag.
2. Remove the glass and support from the frame. Sand the plastic frame with sandpaper, then coat it with dark brown craft paint. Set aside to dry.

Hint. If you’re using bright colors instead of neutrals, you can give your frame a base coat of white paint first. Doing so will help your paint color appear brighter after it is completely dry.
Add letter stickers to the bottom to spell NEST. Measure and cut the lace trim and adhere to the decorative paper above the word NEST.
Advice: If you don’t have letter stickers, you can also use your Cricut Maker (or Cricut Explore Air) and some black vinyl to create your own NEST letters/words.
4. Place the eggs on a paper towel, coat the paint brush with dark brown artificial paint, and then brush the eggs with your finger. Set aside to dry.

5. Glue a few pieces of lace to the bottom of the nest, then attach the eggs to the nest at the top of the lace.
6. Place the decorative paper and backing on the picture frame. To finish, adhere the bird’s nest to the decorative paper with a glue gun and glue sticks.
I loved how this project turned out and I think I will have to make this frame into a set of three.
If you like the idea of dollar store crafts, but you’re not crazy about the farm, that’s fine. You can replicate this DIY in different styles by simply changing the colors and item in the middle. For example, if your home has more of a beach feel, you can replace the bird’s nest with a star or some shells and voila. The possibilities are endless.
