How To Make Homemade Healthy Ice Cream – These healthy homemade ice cream recipes are delicious summer treats. Many are vegetarian and do not require an ice cream maker.

Frozen desserts are such a treat on a hot summer day. Store-bought ice cream is often filled with unhealthy ingredients and can be expensive. I love making my own healthy homemade ice cream for a special summertime treat.

How To Make Homemade Healthy Ice Cream

There are many different flavor combinations that you can use to make ice cream. For an extra special treat, top with a scoop of your favorite flavor with my vegan cream.

Many flavors of homemade ice cream can be made without an ice cream maker. You can use a high powered blender to blend the ingredients for a smooth and soft serve. Some ingredients will need to be pre-frozen to achieve the right texture.

If you have an ice cream maker, you can use it to easily whip up a batch of creamy, delicious ice cream. I use a Kitchenaid ice cream maker attachment, which needs to be pre-chilled for the ice cream to cook properly. Breakdown times vary, but the machine usually takes 10 to 20 minutes to prepare a batch.

When my kids were younger, we enjoyed making ice cream cones by hand. It takes about 30 minutes to make ice cream by rolling a ball. Ice and rock salt come into play in this fun science experiment.

This list of recipes has something for everyone. From chocolate and banana to raspberry and mango, all the classic flavors can be made at home. In addition to traditional ice cream, there are popsicle and snow cone recipes to suit any occasion.

For an easy and refreshing dessert, you can make this homemade Dole Whip recipe in a blender. ($.81 per serving)

This is a brand new thing on my blog, but yesterday I suddenly felt the urge to make popsicle sticks, so why not share my little recipe on the blog? I like to call them “Miku-sticks”! Since I love basil, raspberries, coconut, and lemon, I decided to make mixes with these ingredients, but of course you can make them however you like, fun with homemade popsicle sticks!

Raspberry + Basil : I chopped basil and mixed it with raspberries and quark. I added some honey for a sweeter taste, but it’s completely optional.

Raspberry + Coconut : I mixed half coconut milk and half quark, put in the raspberry, crushed it all, and finally put the coconut flakes. The honey is also optional, it’s not necessary since the coconut milk is so sweet, but I’ll add honey anyway! I love dessert!

Basil + Lemon : I cut the basil into small pieces and mixed it with the quark. After that I tore some lemon zest and squeezed in half a lemon as well, then mixed it in!

Lemon + Coconut: I rind a lemon and mixed it with half coconut milk and half quark and of course some coconut!

Once everything was mixed and ready with my favorite toppings, I poured the concoctions into a plastic ice cream holder. I put them in the fridge for half an hour, took them out and put them on wooden sticks, put them back in the fridge and let them stay there overnight. How long you need to keep in the freezer depends on the size of the ice cream and how long you wait. I think 5 hours is enough!

When I made other frozen yogurt recipes, I compared the nutrition labels of my recipes to the similar flavors of Ben and Jerry’s. This led me to browse the entire Ben & Jerry’s website.

! I wanted to make a healthy homemade vanilla bean ice cream similar to B&J’s version, only healthier…  no refined white sugar, corn syrup, heavy cream, butter, etc. I used organic Greek yogurt because it was on sale. surprising, but I think any Greek yogurt that doesn’t use hormones will be fine (Fage, Chobani, etc.).

This healthy homemade vanilla bean ice cream is smooth, creamy, sweet, and easy to make (if I could

Can). I love the tanginess of the Greek yogurt, which makes this dessert incredibly unique and totally demanding. Perfect for the hot and humid weather these days 🙂
