Furniture Rehab Store – We have big news to share with you. Drum roll please… Milton ReStore is finally open again! On Saturday, July 27, the doors were wide open to welcome customers for the first time. In a space twice the size of the former Milton ReStore location, shoppers eagerly lined through the entrance to see what awaited them inside.

Previously, the Milton ReStore was located downtown at 25 Brown Street, an old post office building. The village-owned Habitat HM’s lease for this location expired at the end of June.

This has driven our organization to look for alternative spaces that can continue to provide quality items at affordable prices to Milton residents.

700 Main St. When we found this location in E., we knew it was the perfect location for our new ReStore. The first thing you see when driving down the street is a larger-than-life Habitat blue sign welcoming you into our store.

Now that our new home has been secured, we’ve been assured that most of the battle is behind us. But of course it wasn’t.

The building had been vacant for two years before we moved in, so the electricity supply was cut, so there was no power and the installation team was in the dark. It’s a testament to the dedication of our volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly for weeks with nothing but generators and portable lights. Despite these obstacles, our team was able to set everything up and prepare for the soft opening.

Not only are we back, but bigger and better than ever. The new ReStore is twice the size of the old location. With 13,000 square feet of usable space, you can stock even more quality products than ever before.

The building was previously a Rona hardware store, so moving into the space was much easier. We kept most of the store’s original layout and made the most of the shelves and organizers to display merchandise.

We wanted our new ReStore location to serve the Milton community as much as possible, and a larger store means a larger variety of high-quality items for sale. With more floor space, you can sell more items and generate more revenue to support affordable housing in your community.

Milton ReStore will be slightly different from the existing two locations in that it has more shelves and display hooks than other stores. At this ReStore, you’ll find more small appliances, appliances, seasonal items, and home décor than the other two.

With the soft opening attracting a lot of people to our store, we can’t wait to see the turnout our grand opening will generate. We will be announcing the Grand Opening date for Milton ReStore soon, so stay tuned for updates!

How To Restore Patio Furniture — Revival Woodworks

A few months ago, before the chalk paint® craze hit, and before I tackled furniture painting, I was browsing Craigslist ads for used dining tables.

I had two young sons at the time and knew I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on an old table that might or might not get abused for years to come.

But just because you don’t want to spend a lot of money on used furniture doesn’t mean you didn’t want a nice table for your family to watch and eat at.

Without searching too much on Craigslist, I found a used farmhouse style table and 4 chairs for the low price of $65.

I snatched them off, ran to the store and bought 12 cans of white spray paint (slaps my forehead). A foam pad that was too thick to re-upholster the chair made a lot of mistakes along the way and then a royal nick on the table with perfect results. A distressed, dilapidated farmhouse look (satire).

It’s a bit embarrassing to be sharing furniture flipping with you for the first time, but I think it’s very important to learn from other people’s mistakes.

So today I’m happy to be an example of what not to do! Also, we’re going to pluck up our guts and share the most valuable tips and tricks we’ve learned from refinishing used furniture!

P.S. If you want to take a look at the first farmhouse table project mentioned above, I will leave a photo at the end of this post. Paint Furniture Travel! 😉

If you live in a small area, Craigslist listings may be rare. Expand your search to the following major cities and you may find what you are looking for!

However, there are a few additional online options you can try. When looking for used furniture for sale, don’t overlook OfferUp, VarageSale, Krrb and Bookoo.

But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been able to pull up on the fly and find some nice second-hand stuff like this.

We can see that most owners are willing to negotiate a price. If you have a sale to size down before people move in, people will quickly lower the price to get rid of the item.

If you decide to go this route, be prepared to wake up early. The early bird catches the worm!
