High Point North Carolina Jobs – Aetna, CVS Health’s business, is growing in North Carolina and will add more than 300 new employees in High Point by the end of 2020. The store is investing about $2.5 million to upgrade its facilities and equipment in conjunction with the expansion.

Aetna offers a wide range of traditional, voluntary and consumer-focused health insurance products and related services. Aetna’s customers include employer groups, individuals, college students, part-time and hourly workers, health plans, health care providers and government entities, among others. – HPU is creating a new School of Dentistry and Oral Health, which will be the only dental school at a private university in the state of North Carolina. This will be the 10th

Academic school on the HPU campus and the seventh since Dr. Nido Qubein became HPU’s president. The proposed Doctor of Dental Medicine degree program, pending approval by SACSCOC and the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), will enroll its first class in the fall of 2023. The highly competitive and prestigious program will bring 180 new students to the university at full capacity.

– Dr. Scott De Rossi will be Dean of the School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Prior to joining HPU, De Rossi most recently served as professor and dean at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry.

– HPU is building a new facility on International Avenue to house the School of Dentistry and Oral Health.

– While HPU’s ongoing transformation has created hundreds of new jobs since 2005, this new project, along with the planned opening of the Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena, Conference Center and Hotel, will create 300 new jobs in High Point and the Triad.

Dr. Scott De Rossi will be Dean of the School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Prior to joining HPU, De Rossi most recently served as professor and dean at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry in 1995 and completed his postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in 1997. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Augusta University. Hull College of Business in 2016.

De Rossi is the recipient of the International Association of Dental Research Innovation in Oral Care Award in 2011, a member of the American DentalEducation Association (ADEA) Leadership Institute in 2012-2013, the recipient of the Judson C. Hickey Excellence in Teaching Award in 2014, and the 2DC0G7 prize winner. the American Academy of Oral Medicine (AAOM) Herschfus Award. He graduated from the American Board of Oral Medicine in 1999.

De Rossi is actively involved in the American Academy of Oral Medicine. He also holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association, and the International and American Dental Research Associations. BIG POINT — Kentucky-based LLFlex will invest $7.6 million in a new building here and create 46 jobs, officials announced Tuesday.

For more than 90 years, Louisville-based LLFlex has created unique packaging and lamination solutions for the construction, tobacco, and wire and cable industries, the governor’s office said Tuesday in a news release announcing the investment.

The average annual salary can reach $58,021, although it varies by position, according to the release. The average annual salary in Guilford County is $47,955. Jobs include production workers, maintenance workers, team leaders and managers.

According to the High Point Economic Development Corp., LLFlex will open in a new building in the Gallimore Industrial Center at 738 Gallimore Dairy Road.

The High Point City Council in November authorized up to $45,000 in performance-based incentives to be paid in installments.

The project also received a $90,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund, which provides financial assistance to local governments to attract economic investment and create jobs, according to a state news release. Companies do not receive money up front and must meet job creation and capital investment targets to qualify for the payment. All One NC grants require appropriate support from local governments and all awards are subject to this condition being met.
