My work with seniors, adults, young adults and adolescents utilizes therapeutic interventions such as Lifespan Integration (certification pending), Person Centered Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy and CBT to best integrate the individual’s strengths for encouraging safe and healthy curiosity about introspection and self-exploration, expression, and the cultivation and realization of desired goals. Many individual therapy solutions today are one-size-fits-all approaches, leaving many feeling like they don’t know how to be in therapy. I know your circumstances are unique, so I use an integrative approach that combines many different techniques depending on who you are as a person and your specific issues, though always through a trauma-informed lens.

My training in DBT, EMDR and IFS means I have the expertise you deserve in building emotional resilience, healing the past and rewriting your new narrative. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be in trouble, right?

I understand because I have lived it myself. When I was 19, my attempts to escape my overwhelming emotions led to self-destructive behavior, and I drifted from one relationship to another, hoping it would take away my pain, only to find that I felt even more lonely. One day I reached a breaking point and went to therapy. It wasn’t until a year later that I started to feel and see changes (because past childhood wounds are deep and can take a while to heal), but something kept pushing me back, even when I wasn’t sure why at first. It turned out that therapy changed my life and now I want to help other young adults so they don’t have to go through what I was.

Over the past 6 years I have had extensive experience working with trans and non-binary clients around transition, identity and mental health issues. I have a special connection to helping others struggling with identity because I have had to go through so many of my own identity struggles in my life. The struggle over identity can be so confusing, isolating, and difficult to articulate. And yet there is nothing more beautiful when we can eventually rewrite our narrative and reclaim our truth.
