How To Make Cheese Pizza At Home – Some evenings need a quick and easy dinner, especially if it’s going to be cooked by a 6-year-old. My grandson spent the night with me, and I knew that after a day school and hot (90*) soccer practice, that by the time he gets to me, he’ll be hot, tired, and hungry. I knew she would want to help cook and I know she loves pizza, so I thought I would let her do it. This easy Baby Cheese Pizza was something she could make on her own!
After adding a little castor oil, B pressed the pizza dough into the pan. Next came the sauce. After carefully scooping out the entire crust, he sprinkled it with garlic powder and plenty of parmesan cheese. Lots of colby jack and mozzarella topped them, then into the hot oven.

How To Make Restaurant Style Pizza At Home
Dough: Our dough starts with warm water, about 90 to 100 degrees. Use a thermometer to check the temperature; too cold water will reduce the rising time and too hot water can kill the yeast.
After that, add a little sugar (this will not make it sweet, it is only there to feed the yeast and speed up the fermentation). Flour, oil and salt are then added to the yeast. After mixing the dough ingredients together, it may seem runny—that’s okay! This dough has more water than other pizza doughs, but it will be easier to work with after it has rested. The good thing is that this recipe works around your schedule: If you don’t have time to make pizza or you want to save the dough for the next day, just cover it and throw it in the fridge.
Tomato sauce: This tomato sauce is almost as easy as opening a jar—it’s fresh and delicious! Just combine a can of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, and seasonings and you have the perfect pizza sauce. Stir any extra sauce into the pasta, dunk stromboli in it, or freeze it for future pies.
This recipe calls for three different types of cheese—and for a reason! Grated Parmesan acts as a barrier, protecting the surface from the sauce; it also adds a nice saltiness to the pie. Low-moisture mozzarella and fresh-grilled mozzarella both go on top of the sauce. Low-moisture mozzarella gives the pizza an important cheese base and also browns nicely in the oven. Fresh mozzarella makes pure pools of melted, gooey white cheese that look great on top, and add contrast to the chewier, lower-moisture mozzarella.
Here’s How You Can Make Viral Double Cheese Burst Pizza At Home
New York’s most popular pizzerias use coal or gas ovens heated to over 600 degrees for their specialty pizzas by the slice. In comparison, most home ovens only go up to 500 degrees, which leads to longer baking times. This recipe eliminates the dry part with a slightly moist dough resulting in a smooth exterior and a fluffy interior.
Your oven’s setup makes a big difference: Throwing a crock pot in the oven on a room-temperature baking sheet will result in a bottom crust. You should preheat your oven for 1 hour with a pizza stone, baking iron, or heavy-duty baking paper facing down on the third rack. If your family makes pizza at home regularly, a pizza stone or baking iron is a good investment.
All these ingredients make the perfect cheese pizza at home. Just brush the golden crust with olive oil, sprinkle the top with basil leaves, and it’s ready to cut and serve!
Tip: Stacking the pizza on a baking sheet lined with heavy foil reduces the risk of sticking and makes transferring it to the oven much easier!
