Is The Cake Boss's Mom Still Alive – I participated in an Influencer activation on behalf of Influence Central for Cake Boss. I received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

I’ve always loved decorating cupcakes, and I never decorated a cake until my son’s first birthday and I’ve decorated all of their birthday cakes since then. Jonathan’s first birthday cake was a simple teddy bear cake covered in blue frosting and Trevor’s first birthday cake was an Elmo shaped cake. Since then I have expanded my bakeware and cake decorating supplies and for the past few years I have made their cakes out of fondant, last year their cake was a three tiered TMNT with ninja turtles made out of fondant. After watching Cake Boss, a simple one-layer cake with plain frosting just doesn’t cut it anymore, I’m always inspired by his elaborate multi-layered birthday cakes and hope to one day decorate cakes for friends, now I usually make them for my own family.

Is The Cake Boss's Mom Still Alive

Last weekend I was able to invite some friends over for some fun with Cake Boss products, the kids enjoyed skating outside, and the moms decorated their cakes. Although there are a few other moms who make all of their kids’ birthday cakes, they’ve never used fondant before, just plain icing. I got everything I needed to throw a cake party, and guests were excited to go home with Cake Boss cake decorating tools, frosting, sprinkles, and one big gift.

Tres Leches Cake Recipe (video)

Of all the products received, the Cake Boss Decorating Turntable and Squeezable Frosting were the favorites. The turntable makes cake decorating easy, instead of constantly moving around the cake to get different angles, you can simply turn it around. There’s also a locking option, so you don’t accidentally drop your cake if you’re moving it around. The tips in the Cake Boss 24-Piece Advanced Tip Set fit perfectly on squeezable frosting, there was no need to use food coloring to mix the colors, and no need to put the frosting in a separate bag. The pre-made squeezable frosting was convenient and reduced the time we had to prepare the frosting ourselves.

Overall, I think we did a great job. I’m getting more used to handling fondant every time I use it and I’m looking forward to the months ahead and making Jonathan and Trevor’s birthday cakes for another year. We will definitely have another cake decorating party. I never thought of getting one like that before, but it sure was a big hit and now we all have goodies to enjoy.
