I had some cottage cheese leftover in my fridge from making this enchilada soup, and I needed something to make. I could have stuffed more Strawberry Cheesecake, but I was in the mood for a frozen treat. So after a little experimenting, several failed attempts, and I finally created my favorite frozen treat!
Healthy Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe
This ice cream is made without an ice cream maker. All you need to make this ice cream is a high quality blender! Even if you don’t fancy a mixer, here are my tips for getting the best results from your recipe.
Easy Banana Ice Cream Recipes (chocolate, Vanilla And Strawberry)
Add frozen fruit, milk, yogurt, and milk mixture or food processor. Until then, it is a gentle present. You may need to add a little more liquid to help the mixture. It also helps to pause every few moments and shave the sides.
If you can add more liquid, you can place the ice cream in the freezer for a few minutes after mixing so that you can have a thicker consistency. Then scoop it into a bowl and sprinkle the graham crumbs!
Can we talk about how that serving has less than 80 calories? I mean, you can eat the entire recipe in one sitting, and still eat fewer calories and fat than just a mere 1/2 cup of “premium” ice cream. And who only ate half a cup? Easy Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream
No more buying expensive pre-made ice cream. With just frozen strawberries, frozen bananas, and cottage cheese, you can make your own healthier ice cream in minutes. It’s a healthy treat for the whole family!
Store bought strawberry ice cream is made with everything. On a good day, you can recognize yourself in things. On a bad day, you can say a lot about things, let alone acknowledge them. And even in the better brands that have a simple ingredient list, you’re still getting a heavy dose of processed sugar and heavy, heavy cream. But it’s a completely different story when you can do it at home.
As with most recipes, the calorie count can vary depending on the recipe. But for this specific type, it’s a nice, low, 45 calories per serving. Not too shabby for a bowl of ice cream! In fact, these ingredients are so clean and healthy that you can almost eat this for lunch without ever feeling the least bit guilty!
While you can certainly use fresh strawberries for this recipe, using frozen strawberries will work. The resulting texture just seems to get better. The frozen berries are solidified and the ice cream helps the mixture last.
Healthy Strawberry Ice Cream
Essentially, it is. But unlike regular banana ice cream, this recipe includes the use of dairy. This is not a vegan recipe, but find a vegan strawberry ice cream recipe here.
While you can certainly use ripe bananas here, I recommend using bananas that still have green on their skins. This will reduce the banana flavor and allow the strawberry flavor to really shine. Using ripe bananas will strengthen the banana flavor. So this is another way you can shine with the flavors of this recipe.
You will want fruit and vegetables before the season lasts. I find the best bananas for making ice cream are bananas that are just turned yellow. Once they have brown spots, all you will taste is the banana instead of all the other fruits you add. So, cut and freeze the yellow bananas on parchment paper until the crusts are completely frozen, after which they can be transferred to a freezer-safe container or zipper-top bag for longer-term storage. Buy trucks on sale and stock up your stash so you have it all summer long!
Note that if you want it to be gluten free, you need to buy your cheese carefully. No free valley.
Minute Healthy Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
Liquid – If you find you need to add liquid to mix this properly, you have many choices. You can try fruit juice, water, whole milk, non-dairy milk (any kind), lemon juice (although you should use lemon juice) or even cream or heavy cream if you don’t like the added fat and calories.
Sweetener – If you find your ice cream not sweet enough for your liking, you can mix in any number of healthy flavors. Honey, maple syrup, Sucanat, coconut sugar, or even monk fruit will just work here. Although you may have a bit of a tough time, dissolving the granulated sweetness into the ice cream with some sweeteners.
Fruit – You can absolutely use other fruits here. If strawberries aren’t your thing, try another berry, frozen mango, or even frozen peaches. The only thing that is not a substitute is bananas because they really help to create a smooth and creamy texture.
Additions – You can add things like vanilla extract (or other extracts), peanut butter (or almond butter), cocoa nibs, chocolate chips (although I’d move them in at the end), and other fruits to create a more complex flavor profile. for this homemade ice cream.
Strawberry Frozen Yogurt (no Ice Cream Maker)
Bananas – cut these up and freeze them before making this recipe. Keep a bag on hand in the freezer all summer long!
Cottage cheese – This can be large or small butter, it doesn’t matter. The higher the cheese in the cottage cheese, the less processed it is. So decide which one you feel most comfortable with. When I first made this, it was made with non-fat cottage cheese. I don’t use fat for days. But the choice is yours.
Frozen Strawberries – You can buy these (no added sugar), or freeze fresh berries yourself. If you prefer to use frozen berries, you can use a cup of fresh berries instead.
Freeze the bananas and strawberries as needed, at least a day before making them. measure all the ingredients.
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Ice Cream
Until then, it is a gentle present. You have to stop, remove the lid, and turn everything around a few times so that everything is properly regulated. If the mixture seems too dry to process properly, add a little splash or two of milk to loosen the mixture enough. Then it starts again. Add more than you need to avoid burning your engine.
Depending on how frozen your fruit is or how much liquid you have added, you may need to spread the ice cream over the dish and freeze for an hour or two before eating.
I recommend this dish as an alga. If you don’t have that, try a broad one. the idea is that this is cool without being thick. You can use a large pan, a baking sheet, or even an oven. Try to keep it about half an inch thick.
