Will Adulterers Go To Heaven – Let’s admit it, at some point we have all asked the following question: “Will you go to heaven IF (fill the void with your sins)?”
The answer is no AND yes. I will explain later but first let’s see how the question is often completed. If I pass over your sin because you are so holy and have nothing to worry about, then fill in the blank with “godly”.
Will Adulterers Go To Heaven
“Will I still go to heaven if I lie, gossip, covet, commit adultery, get drunk, punch, have lust with someone outside of marriage, kill, commit suicide, rape, steal, curse, blaspheme, watch inappropriate movies, fornicate , commit adultery, leave my children, commit my wife?”
Who Goes To Hell?
In the beginning, these questions are asked out of desperation because at our core there is doubt that we have been properly saved. We doubt that Christ is a greater Savior than our greatest sin. In desperation we usually plug in some outrageous sin that we have committed because for some of us, we still live in sin and it destroys us. For the rest of us, we have committed terrible sins in the past and have overcome them through Christ, but we are sometimes still not convinced that Christ washed away BIG sins with his blood.
If you are the former, living in ANY blatant sin you are filled in the void that is constantly open and desensitized to it, it probably means that you do not experience the pious sorrow through sin that leads to repentance, I urge you to look at the book of 1 John to see what you are right saved. Here are some important questions from http://www.gotquestions.org/signs-saving-faith.html about sin in the Christian life.
Let’s clear something up. No one will do this perfectly. If you can answer these questions correctly with “Yes” or the majority and really work with others depending on God to give them the strength to obey him, I think you show the true fruit of salvation. When John said in 1 John 3:6 that,
It means that no one who commits sin remains in God. So if we are habitual, persistent, persistent, happy and frequent in any sin, we are not children of God. This certainly does not mean that Christians will be perfect and will not sin in this life. In contrast, in verse 7, John says,
This Person Needed To Send Some Other Extra Messages To Me, Now He Tells Me I Will Never Go To Heaven Because I’m A Lesbian.
That does not mean that good deeds save us. Christians do not do good deeds to achieve and then keep salvation; However, the good deeds that Christians have are proof that there is a true spiritual rebirth and that we are children of God. Salvation is not the result of good works. Good deeds are the result of true salvation. We need to understand this important difference.
The more you sin, the better you will be. You make excuses to justify it, and perhaps you are looking for ways to adjust the factors that caused you to commit the sin. You begin to fall into sin more easily, you do not feel guilty over sin and become more desensitized to it. You don’t feel bad if you offend the Holy One.
Now we can rephrase the original question to get a better understanding… “Will I still go to heaven if I commit, gossip, greed, fornication, drunkenness, violence, lust, murder, rape, theft, blasphemy, pleasure with evil, immorality, sexual. immorality and right?” See the difference? The answer is that if you sin, you will not go to heaven. You will go to hell to spend eternity in torment away from God’s presence and glory and honor.
“Or do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not go astray: fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, adulterers, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, blasphemers, or those who blaspheme, will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Holiness And Justice By R.c. Sproul From The Holiness Of God
The problem with the human heart is classifying sins, so sometimes we pick and choose what we see in our hearts as “BIG” and “BAD” sins and away from “small” and “innocent” sins and choose to call them “mistakes.” We do not cheat on our wives, but we gossip. We do not drink alcohol and get drunk, but we are greedy about money. We stay away from punching our neighbors, but we have hatred for them in our hearts. The combination is not End. Remember that Paul in verse 9-10 includes adulterers with swindlers (those who deceive others in business transactions) and greedy people. Avoiding certain sins when receiving others is a dangerous Pharisee.
John said if you belong to Satan you are committing sin. If you are a child of God, then you do righteousness. So, if I am truly saved, have inner and outer proof that I am a child of God, I walk in the light and hate sin? If I sin, I quickly repent and confess to God and ask for forgiveness. What if while living this way, I succumb to temptation and commit adultery with my husband and die of a heart attack in the act? Am I still going to heaven? Let me be more sinister – What if I go into a deep, deep depression and take my own life, slowly by swallowing pills or immediately jumping from a building? Let me be MORE creepy – What if someone disrespects my husband and in anger I punch him so hard I kill him, my friend pulls out a gun, shoots and kills me – do I go to heaven still? Let me choose the “lesser” sin. What if I lied to my boss and then got hit by a car without repenting for lying to him? Am I still going to heaven?
THE ANSWER IS YES!!! When Jesus died on the cross, he paid the penalty for the sins of all who believed in him. He died for past, present and future sins. Please note, I am not saying that you are saved, none of that matters and you can sin all you want because you will go to heaven. That is cheap grace, my friends, and it is wrong and Paul teaches against it in Romans 6:1-2:
“Then what will we say? Do we continue to sin, so that grace abounds? It doesn’t mean that! How can we who are dead to sin live there?”
Revelation 21:8 But To The Cowardly And Unbelieving And Abominable And Murderers And Sexually Immoral And Sorcerers And Idolaters And All Liars, Their Place Will Be In The Lake That Burns With
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
Abounding grace does not perpetuate abounding sin in believers. Abounding in grace in the believer, there is still a lot of worship. Christians are free from sin, not freed from sin. Although sin is great and should not be ignored, I want to turn your attention to something greater than sin… God.
“As far as the east is from the west, so far will Jehovah remove our transgressors from us.”
God’s love is strong and burning for his children. It is not bold. It won’t let us go! And His grace is greater than our sin. If you are a child of God, no one will take you out of God’s hand. You are safe forever. Paul knew this and told the Romans in Romans 8:35-39
Secrets From Heaven
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or tribulation, or persecution, or famine, or shame, or danger, or sword?… No, in all these things we shall surpass those who overcome us, for he has loved us. neither angels nor principalities, whether present or future, or powers, or height or depth, or anything in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.”
What a glorious read! Paul says that none of these things will separate us from the love of God. But there is one thing that will and that is SIN, However, Christians have been forgiven from past, present and future sins. His sins have been forgiven, erased, those that used to make him dirty, now he is clean! There is a subtle but significant difference between sin separating us forever from God because we do not have a relationship with God through Christ as opposed to sin being forgiven on the cross because we have a saving relationship with God through Christ.
It is very good for Christians to know that no matter how difficult and far from grace they are, grace has gone further to catch them and take them, even in the last few minutes of life. If we commit a great sin or any sin and die, praise God who put that sin on Jesus on the cross and Jesus paid my penalty by dying for me so that I can be with him forever.
If a Christian believes that he will go to hell if he dies soon after committing a great sin, then there is no salvation by grace through faith.
