The standard palette size was a bit wide for us. It is necessary to cut about half of it to get the right width for the seating furniture.
We then stacked the pre-cut pallets on top of each other to create an L-shaped section in the corner of the deck.

Then came some beer with a relaxing picture taking on a sunny day. We used the same stain we had on our deck.
I was thinking about painting the furniture white or a lighter color, but I’m so happy we stayed with the same matching color on the deck. It gives a nice flow together.
The table is also made of pallets. The pallets we used for the table were a little smaller compared to the standard pallet size. We stacked the 2 on top of each other and removed the top panels. From Home Depot we got nicer weathered wood panels to cover the top of the table.
Remember that cheerful green one from our HAPPY AND ORGANIZED GARAGE CONVERSION? I had some of that paint left over (grass cloth from Behr – weather resistant exterior paint) so we used it to make this table look pretty. I wanted to keep the umbrella, so we cut a hole in the middle of the table for the umbrella to fit in there. We kept an umbrella stand (a plastic bucket filled with water) under the table (not visible).

Phew… That was it, my friends! The project was finished, and we were happy to sit back and enjoy!
You won’t believe it, but the most expensive piece on the entire deck was the foam for the seating furniture. They sell foam by the yard and it is quite expensive. Over $60 per yard. However, I was lucky enough to find foam for 50% off at Joann’s.

Now that the pallet furniture was finished, I could start the styling part. My favorite part of any project.
