Starting today, shop potterybarn.com or your nearest store to save up to 70% off in the clearance section, up to 60% off outdoor furniture, up to 50% off pillows and decor, up to 30% off bath, and up to 20 % beds, sectionals, wardrobes and selected furniture. Free shipping is also offered on all bedding, pillows and throws. Just remember any clearance item price ending in $.97 or $.99 final-sale purchase (no returns or exchanges accepted).

I’m working on a review for the Pottery Barn Sausalito collection, as well as when we own the bed, vanity and dresser. So, I figured I’d start this post to answer the anticipated questions that will inevitably follow! But first, a long disclaimer because I clearly do not work for Pottery Barn.

I used to be one of the biggest advocates of only buying a clay pot when it was on sale. This was only because, before 2020, sitewide sales seemed to be offered every few weeks or at least quarterly.
However, it’s been almost two years since the last Buy More Save More sale at Pottery Barn. A prayer, then, about the question that we are all wondering about. When is Pottery Barn having another Buy More Save More Save or sitewide discount sale? I took the question to Instagram when I realized that I have a lot of Pottery Barn designers and sales associates who follow me. I didn’t ask them to give me more confidential information, but the resounding answer is pretty clear: there won’t be a large sales site any time soon. Maybe not this year, or even ever.

It’s not exactly the news we all wanted to hear. But, rather than just bad news, I thought I’d also share some perspective and reason for this info. When I posted the question on Instagram, I received so many messages from followers who were waiting for a pottery barn full of carts just for sale. I also thought the additional insight would be helpful in making your decisions about your potential clients.
Here are the various responses I received from various Pottery Barn designers, managers and sales associates. These are the most common comments from multiple sources:
So, if you’re holding a sale, it’s likely not going to be a major ticket. I think that from the early 2020s, many of us will be putting up sales at some point, since they were once so frequent. And yet here we are almost two years later. Here, I tried to keep my files organized. It’s not always fun to buy two large items at once, but I usually do it and at least save on shipping costs! Currently it is still $299 for unlimited furniture/oversized delivery. For example, I wanted an olive wedge a few years back, so I waited to order it until I had the stuff so I could package it, since I didn’t have to pay the second delivery fee!
Despite some shipping and customer service frustrations in the past, I believe many of the Pottery Barn items are of excellent quality. I have no regrets about the major tickets held by them. It’s funny enough, when we had to vacuum our dinner last chance to get a new carpet there were two situations at Kurtis. The first moved this winemaker and that winemaker. He was shocked and was not happy with the Wayfair one because the mechanism to remove the drawer was a major pain. When it was time to take the Sausalite winemaker under the covers, he said, “That’s how you make a winemaker.” A little known fact, Kurtis considers himself an architect and thinks that most products that are bought are built wrong
